i feel like i'm about to reach my breaking point. i feel like i might lose my mind.
i'm in a new city. i don't know anyone. Ray is never around. i'm 6 months into a high-risk pregnancy, and trying to find a new doctor. i have to get approved for a medical card, which is stressful under normal conditions, but twice as stressful now that i'm in a time crunch and have no clue how or where to get things done. i'm also trying to find a job and a daycare. not just any daycare... but one that stays open late since i likely will have to work past 6 pm- and as i said, Ray is never around. i'm still hoping to get into grad school- but have admittedly let the application process slide to the back burner. grad school is all i *want* to be doing right now, but have too much else going on to let that be a priority. i have my normal responsibilities with cooking and cleaning, which i bust my ass to do during the day- but it doesn't even seem to matter. and i'm still working on unpacking.
as if that is not enough- i have Ray constantly telling me something *needs* to get done. "Amy needs to be housebroken, or we are getting rid of her. you need to finish the medical card stuff, because we can't afford to pay the bills. you need to get this in the mail. do this. do that. go here. find these. wash/clean/pick up/pay more attention to... blah blah blah." as if i don't already know. i wish i could be the one working all day. or at least not be expected to handle all this stuff by myself.
i'm beginning to wonder why we ever came to pittsburgh. it doesn't seem better here. at least not for me. the work hours certainly aren't what they were supposed to be. i feel like a single parent, which i technically am, since Lynzie and Lillie are my children and not his... but i could have been a single parent in west virginia. at least there i could go to work, and not worry about who was watching Lillie or picking up Lynzie from school.
