i mentioned a few posts back that my sister is due with her first baby (a boy) on march 22nd. just a reminder- we found out Carli died on march 22nd; her birthday is march 26th. i said i was okay with the due date being so dangerously close to Carli's birthday. suddenly, i'm not feeling so okay anymore.

baby's first thanksgiving
well, it's over. we made it through thanksgiving with no major complications. but, of course, a lot of things went unmentioned; like Carli.
it's crazy to think what i had planned. last year i was envisioning thanksgiving 2010 with us still living in west virginia. we would load up the three kids, go to my parents' house for an early dinner, and then head up to pennsylvania for another dinner with Ray's family. it would've been awesome. it would have been normal. it should have been Carli's first thanksgiving.

32 weeks, now
i know i'm getting to the last part of my pregnancy, because i am seriously thinking that it is physically impossible for my stomach to get any bigger. i'm doubting my body's ability to carry Eden for 8 more weeks. i am so uncomfortable; i can't sleep, i can't eat. yes- this is definitely the 3rd trimester. we are almost there!!! YAY!!

tuesday
i haven't had much time to update since my appointment on tuesday. first, the appointment was crazy long, and since then, i have been working seemingly non-stop. okay, not really... but have been busy.
so, anyway- the appointment. i decided to take ray and the kids with me. i was thinking maybe we could go somewhere after the appointment; for a drive or something. it's not very often we all get to be together on a weekday evening. (thanks to my work schedule- tuesday is our only chance). so, i had ray wait with the kids in the waiting room, while i went back for my appointment. i figured it would be a quick one. measure my belly, listen to Eden, let me ask a few paranoid questions, and then i'd be on my way.

baby showers
my sister is due with her first baby in march. (dangerously close to Carli's birthday, but i will deal with that when the time comes. so far, i'm okay.) she recently had her anatomy scan, and everything was healthy and normal. oh, and she's having a boy. so... as part of a normal pregnancy, someone needs to throw her a baby shower. i've been discussing it with my mom, and i guess i'm going to be the one to organize it all, which i'm kinda excited about. i guess we are going to wait until after Eden is born to do the shower, because i don't want to travel in december. i don't want to risk going into labor somewhere on interstate 77; no thanks.

why you shouldn't ask questions
ray is buying a new car. well, it's a used car that is actually older than his truck. he's trading his truck to reduce debt, and have more room for all our car seats. i personally like the new-to-us car. it's an acura mdx... and of course, i had to point out that now we will have room for two more car seats after Eden. :) hehe!!

dear tuesday, please hurry
it's no secret that i'm freakishly paranoid about my pregnancy. gone are the days of "expecting" a baby; now i cautiously *hope* for a baby. this is nothing like pregnancy with Lynzie, Lillie, or even Carli. with them, i didn't worry. i was good at being pregnant. why worry? 40 weeks, and i'd have a healthy screaming baby.

a quick update
halloween came and went. like all other holidays, i was missing Carli. that was to be expected; it's like a visible hole in my family during special events. Lynzie was a butterfly fairy, Lillie was a cat, and i'll never get to put Carli in a costume. yes, that is how my mind works. halloween is such a kid-centered holiday (most are) and it's hard to not think about my missing kid. she should have been 4 months old. i wonder what kind of costume we would have picked for her...
