where have i been?

i haven't posted in a while. (and i purposely skipped my monthly "26th" post-- but i'll get to that in a minute). i've been working like crazy, preparing for a custody case with my ex, and taking trips to pennsylvania on the weekends. seriously- this was the schedule for this past weekend: friday- work 10-6, go home to pack, drive to PA. saturday-look at houses, (like 10 of them!) and drive farther into PA to ray's parents house. sunday- ray's family reunion, drive back home (5 hours), get ready for custody hearing monday morning. i am exhausted!!

and, in case you haven't figured out the reason for all that madness-- we are moving!! yep. we made an offer on a house today, and it has already been accepted. now we just have to close. it's going to be hectic for a while. my custody hearing went okay... not great. my ex still has visits, but i get to move. so, that's good. and that's the *very* brief update on my life.

as for my monthly 26th post... i decided not to do it in July. i just decided that i don't like "counting" how long Carli has been gone. it hurts all the same, and i never stop missing her. i don't think the monthly posts are helping me any. so, i skipped it. and i still thought about her and thought about "4 months since she's been gone". maybe one month i'll have a 26th where i don't think of the countdown... guess i'll wait and see.
