letters to Carli

tomorrow is Carli's memorial service. after the service, we plan to release 6 balloons; one for each month i carried her. Lynzie and Lillie made cards to tie onto the balloons and send them up to Carli. I just wanted to post a few pictures of what they made.

Lillie said her card has "lots of rainbow balloons" on it.

Lillie asked "mommy, you write letters for me?" 

I wrote what she said she wanted to say.

Lillie is so proud of her card for Carli.

(just a slightly disappointed that she had to wait until tomorrow to "send" it)

Lynzie is proud of her card too. 

she had so many question about how Carli was going to get the card.

"I wrote her name... so the other angels will know it's for her, right?"

the front of Lynzie's card is a picture of her at the bottom; "angel Carli" floating above.

it says "Carli" at the top and "Fum (from) Lyznie" at the bottom.

the inside of Lynzie's card says "I love Carli" and "I miss you. Please come back."

the picture is "a party for Carli". Lynzie said there is a cake, drinks, and some of the people who miss her.

she said we should have the party, so we can remember Carli, but be happy that she is an angel.

the card making was fun. i liked talking with the girls about Carli, while they colored. although, Lynzie's card did make me cry a little. i knew when she asked me "how do you spell 'please'?" what she was going to write. by the time i got to the "...S-E" i was choking back tears. i miss Carli too.

i'm so nervous about the memorial tomorrow. i hope everything goes as planned. i'm worried about "sharing" Carli with everyone. i know it might sound crazy... but keeping everything private has felt safe.
