baby guessing

am i freaking out yet? of course. i think most people expect that since i'm way *insert sarcasm* beyond my due date, i must be going crazy. the truth is, i'm really not. i'm a little anxious... but really nothing compared to the feelings with Lynzie and Lillie. so what am i freaking out about? oh, the usual: movement (is my baby still alive?) and all the things that can go wrong. if anything, i'm screaming "is it time yet?" because i just want to stop worrying that i'm going to deliver another silent baby.

i already feel like i've been pregnant forever. but, that's because i have been pregnant since october of 2009. yeah, seriously. between Carli's pregnancy and Eden's pregnancy- it's been over 15 months. i spent all of 2010 being pregnant. so, i'm beyond the worry of "this baby may never come". i'm so used to being pregnant, i don't know how i'll handle not being pregnant. am i going to constantly have my hand on my stomach, waiting for movement? am i going to avoid all the things i'm not supposed to have while pregnant, without even realizing it? what will it be like to be "just me" again? if Eden is healthy- it will be awesome!

so, i'm okay with still being pregnant. i'm not calling my doctor to ask for my cervix to be thinned out... whatever that means. i'm waiting pretty patiently.

my mom on the other hand, is not. she sends me texts, emails, instant messages... at least 5 times a day. "in labor yet? everything okay? contractions? baby time?!? WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?" and it's not like Eden is her first grandchild. she's actually the 12th, i think. she should be used to waiting. plus, my sister is pregnant too... so you'd think she could annoy her for a while.

i had to basically stop communicating with her yesterday, for fear that i was going to jump through the phone and choke her. my mom does this thing where she will guess every possible scenario, and then say "see i told you." when one of them comes true. "see- i told you she would be born on a tuesday." nevermind she also guessed every other day of the week.
"see i told you she was waiting for her blanket/crib/snow/sun/acid rain/jacket/non-holiday/banana!... " it drives me crazy. but worse than that- her logic is insane!

yesterday she told me Eden would be born on tuesday. why? because her babies were all born on friday, except carolyn who was born on saturday. Lynzie and Lillie were born on monday, and since Eden is my 3rd (like carolyn was for my mom) she will be born a day later than the "pattern". right away, i told her Carli was my third, and she was born on a friday.. so there goes her logic. then, she started to say something... which i know was going to be something to the effect of "well that doesn't really count" or "i had a miscarriage between natalie and carolyn too". which would have really set me off. luckily, she just said "maybe". and then i ended the conversation.

if anything is driving me crazy about the length of this pregnancy- it's my mom's predictions and superstitions. thank god i chose to find out Eden's sex. i can't imagine the ideas she would have for the boy/girl debate.

seriously, i love my mom. :) she's just crazy.

(honestly- seriously- no joke... she JUST sent me a message on facebook: "Still no word from Eden?") here we go...

I'm ripping my hair out FOR you, Katie!!! My mom is the SAME way (well, she would be if I wasn't scheduling a c-section)
